We Set the Table.
They Pour the Legacy
Norwood Vineyard is a harvesting vineyard. We are growers, but we don’t bottle our own label. Instead, we’ve built something we believe matters more:a table where Black and minority-owned brands are given the room, the audience and the reverence they deserve.
Spotlighting Black & Minority Winemakers
Black-owned winemakers make up less than 1%
of winemakers across the U.S.
Black and minority winemakers make up less than 1% of winemakers across the U.S. Most are small-batch, deeply personal operations and have dreams to expand their wine and offer their selections in retail stores.
We felt it was important to use our wine room, our reach, and our proximity to wine-loving audiences in Atlanta to introduce guests to brands they may never have discovered otherwise. So each season, we open the wine room and turn our attention to a featured winemaker, and let their story do the talking.
We search high and low, across our own region in the South, across the U.S. and occasionally across the border. What you'll find ranges widely: sweet muscadine wines made right here in Georgia to drier, more traditional blends from makers further afield. What stays consistent is the care behind every bottle, and the story behind every maker.
At every tasting, you won't just learn what's in your glass, you'll learn whose hands made it, and what it took to get there.
If you're a black- or minority-owned wine brand looking for a place to share your story and your craft, we'd love to hear from you. We have a thoughtful vetting process, but we're always looking for the next maker worth introducing to our community.

Dr. Darlene Roberts
Winemaker :Darlene Roberts , Robert’s Vineyard

This season that winemaker is Dr. Darlene Roberts of Roberts Vineyard in Byron, Georgia. Her muscadine varietals are handcrafted, soulful, and deeply rooted in Southern soil and we could not be more proud to feature her work. Each year we will spotlight someone new.
