at the Vineyard
Our Wine Tasting Series is our way of keeping record of good wine, great wine makers across the south, the love poured into the craft, and the culture that often goes unseen.
Norwood Vineyard is one of Georgia’s few black-owned vineyards - located in Jonesboro, GA - just minutes from Atlanta, owned by the Norwood family since the 1950s. We are a harvesting vineyard- which means that we don’t make our own wine but we grow the grapes that eventually end up in a bottle of wine.
Our wine program exists to spotlight, support and increase the visibility of black-owned and minority-owned winemakers across the U.S. That means every wine you taste at Norwood Vineyard has been handcrafted by a black wine maker and likely isn’t sold in retail stores.
While we exclusively focus on black-owned wine brands, our tasting room is open and welcoming to absolutely everyone.
We curate monthly wine tasting experiences - each with it’s own unique vibe- for you to not only taste wine, but to learn a little about the winemaker and have an amazing time with people who will feel like family!

A laid-back, taste-at-your-own-pace Saturday wine garden - you become a wine critic for the day and help us taste new wines and some fan favorites.
Frequency: One Saturday each month (typically last Sat of each month)

What’s Special: You become a wine critic- taste and rate new wines that may end up on our permanent menu. Your feedback also goes directly to the winemaker to help strengthen their product.

Wine Tasting at the Vineyard

Join us on the 2nd and 4th Sunday each month for a 90-minute wine tasting & tour experience. Enjoy a 20 minute historical tour and walk-through of the vineyard (weather-permitting) followed by a guided tasting of three Southern small-batch wines. This is perfect for an after-work evening or an early date night. We’ll take you through the vines, share a little of the story behind what’s growing, then settle in for a tasting under the tent. Seating is limited and reservations are required.
The Vineyard Tour
Your reservation begins with a small group guided 20-minute walking tour of Norwood Vineyard. You’ll hear the history of this land, learn about the muscadine vines, and walk the rows that have been tended by our family for 75 years. It is unhurried, personal, and unlike anything you’ll find at a traditional winery.
The Wine Tasting
Following the tour, guests are invited to settle in and enjoy a self-guided tasting of three pours from our curated wine selection. Each flight features muscadine varietal wines procured from Roberts Vineyard or a specially selected offering - all wines rooted in Southern tradition and Georgia soil.
Artisan Bread Basket
As you start your tasting, we provide the table with warm bread from a local baker and pastry chef we love, served family-style alongside a rotation of jams and butter spreads sourced from local farms - each one chosen to complement the wines you’re tasting that day.

Coming as a Group?
We love welcoming small groups and will do our best to seat you together. Each table seats eight guests, and tables are shared, so depending on your group's size, your party may be seated at separate or nearby tables. While we'll always try to keep you close, we can't always guarantee seating together.
Celebrating Something?
We love being part of your special moments and welcome them at the vineyard. Please keep in mind that Sunday Pour & Tour is a shared, guided experience, not a private event. Guests are here to listen, learn, and enjoy the story behind each pour, so we ask that celebrations happen before or after the guided tour and tasting.
Celebration cakes and desserts are welcome only after the guided experience ends. You're invited to stay and enjoy it with your group at a separate table until closing. No other outside food or drinks are permitted. Guests must bring plates and flatware to enjoy their cake.
During the tour and tasting, cake and dessert aren't permitted at the tasting tables, as our tables are reserved for the bread service.

Please note: This is a guided group tasting — please arrive on time as the tour will start promptly after a 10-minute welcome/grace period. Late arrivals must join the group in progress. Due to our wine tasting schedule earlier pours cannot be repeated for late arrivals. Refunds/reschedules are not provided to late arrivals or no-shows.
Outside food/drinks are not permitted.
Weather/Acts of Nature Cancellation Policy:
This is a rain-or-shine event. In case of rain we may conduct an informational session under our pavilion in place of the tour and provide guests with an additional wine pour.
In the rare event that this event must be postponed or rescheduled due to extremely heavy rain, severe weather or other acts of nature, ticket holders will be given the option to move to the rescheduled date or use their ticket for another offered event throughout the year. Alternatively, guests may receive a credit, for the amount of the ticket, to be used at their convenience for any applicable service or product.

Six tables. One Sunday.
One Sunday each month, Norwood Vineyard sets aside its usual rhythm and opens something smaller and deeply beautiful: a table for you and the people you want to spend an afternoon with, styled and set by our stylist under the Garden Tent Pavilion.
Bring your own meal. A picnic, a spread you made at home, or takeout from your favorite restaurant. Whatever your Sunday calls for. We'll take care of the rest: a table dressed as if it were made just for you, wine chosen by our wine host, and a dessert that means something.
Two hours. The whole vineyard laid out in front of you. A working family vineyard just 25 minutes south of Atlanta. A table that won't be set quite like this again.

Additional Wine for Purchase
Your wine will be waiting at your table when you arrive. Pour freely. If the afternoon calls for more, our seasonal, rotating wine menu features white and red wines, from dry to semi-sweet, along with our Muscadine varieties. Additional Wine available for purchase:
By the glass: $15 to $20, depending on variety and vintage
By the bottle: $45 to $75, depending on variety and vintage (as available)
The Dessert
Every Sunday's Table ends on something sweet. Each month, our Director of Food and Beverage selects a dessert rooted in the history of the South, chosen to tell the story of that month's theme and paired with the wine on your table.
Dessert is served whenever you're ready for it, no later than 4:30 PM, so you have time to linger over it. Our desserts are always made without nuts. Because each dessert is selected for that month's theme, we're unable to accommodate other dietary needs, including gluten-free, dairy-free, lactose-free, or vegetarian requests.
Bringing Your Meal
Your meal is set up and served right at your table, so plan a spread that fits comfortably in your space.
Please bring hot food already warm. We don't have warming equipment on site.
Burners, chafing dishes, Sternos, and anything that needs an open flame are not permitted.
Bring any serving utensils you'll need, like tongs and serving spoons. We provide the plates, flatware, and wine glasses.
Wagons and carts are welcome to help carry everything down to the vineyard.
Booking More Than One Table
Sunday's Table is designed for small, intimate gatherings, and we keep each table separate to protect that feeling for everyone. Tables can't be combined, but we'll do our best to seat your group nearby, and you're welcome to mingle across the vineyard lawns throughout the afternoon.
Celebrating Something?
We love being part of your special moments. Guests are welcome to bring a celebratory cake or dessert. Please keep in mind that Sunday's Table is a shared experience, not a private event. There's plenty of room for toasts and celebration. We just ask that you celebrate in a way is respectful to others and that lets every table enjoy their afternoon too.

Some Friday evenings are worth the drive.
Norwood Vineyard is a family-owned working vineyard tucked into Jonesboro, Georgia about 25 minutes south of Downtown Atlanta. We’ve been tending this land for generations, and a once a month we open our doors and invite people in to slow down, pull up a chair, and share something worth tasting.
Legacy Tasting is our guided wine tasting series and it’s a little different from what you might expect. Every first Friday of the month, we gather a small group of guests under our Garden Tent in the vineyard for a tasting of three Southern wines. Small-batch. Thoughtfully chosen. Each one tied to a maker whose story is worth knowing. We travel the region through every pour, from Georgia to the Carolinas to Virginia and beyond, introducing you to the winemakers doing something real in Southern wine country.
This is not a tasting for the wine expert. There’s no sommelier, no pressure, no wrong answers. It’s a Friday evening in a southern vineyard with family-style seating, good conversation, and wine that might just surprise you. Sweet, bold, fruit-forward. Every month is different, and that’s the point.
Fridays feel like a festive night under a tent with wine and new friends! Whether you’re coming solo, with a partner, with friends, or making it a group night out you’ll feel right at home from the moment you arrive.

A guided tasting of 3 featured Southern wines focused on muscadine varietals and an evening on the vineyard you’ll want to repeat.
Coming as a Group?
Small groups are always welcome. Seating is family-style, with eight guests per table, so we're unable to reserve tables for groups. Because this is one of our busiest nights, we recommend arriving together if you'd like to sit together.
Celebrating Something?
We love a good celebration! Let us know if you're here for a birthday or special occasion, and we'll give you a special shoutout, and maybe even a serenade. Because Friday nights are one of our most popular events, outside food and cakes aren't permitted.
The Legacy Tasting is a guided experience, and guests come to hear the story behind each pour and enjoy an evening together. We simply ask that celebrations leave room for everyone to enjoy the night.

Wine Selections: By the Glass or Flight
It's not often we get an open Saturday. Between all the weddings we host, days like this are rare, so when one comes around, we don't waste it. We picnic. We pour wine. We play.
These are the Saturdays we set aside to taste something new, bottles we're falling in love with from winemakers we believe in, all Black-owned labels we want you to try with us. We open the vineyard, and you decide how you want to spend it. Drop in for a flight. Reserve a little mini picnic basket and sprawl out on a blanket on the lawn, or set up picnic table-side under the tent. Bring your friends. Bring your cousins. Come solo with a book. If the weather's kind, we'll have lawn games out on the grass.
Honestly, this is us on our own Saturdays too, belly down on a blanket, snacks in one hand, wine in the other. It's the kind of fall afternoon that doesn't need a reason, just good company and something new in your glass.

Option 1: Walk-Up Flight | $40
No reservation, no rush. Pick your pours, find your spot, and settle in.
Option 2: The Picnic Pass | $45 per person
Your Picnic Pass includes a flight of three wine tasting pours and grants you access to bring your own picnic and grab a spot on the lawn (first come, first serve) or at our outdoor tables. Pack your favorite snacks and your coziest blanket, and we'll take care of the wine.
Option 3: The Mini Picnic Basket | $60 per person (reserve in advance)
We provide you with your own little picnic tote for the afternoon along with three wine pours, a mini charcuterie cup, and a hand fan to keep you cool while you sip. Bring your blanket and enjoy it on the lawn or at one of the reserved tables under the Garden tent pavilion.
Option 4: The Garden Cottage | $250 | 2 hours | Up to 4 guests
Reserve our private garden cottage for you and your group. One reservation at a time, complete with a bottle of wine, shared charcuterie board, and the best views of the vineyard.
Rain or shine, we've got you. If the weather turns, we move the fun under the tent: same wine, same afternoon, just cozier.
Bring your blanket. Bring your people. We'll bring the wine.

Groups are always welcome. Seating in the Garden Room is first come, first served, so we suggest arriving early if you'd like to sit together.
Celebrating Something?
We love being part of your special moments. Celebration cakes are welcome. Just bring your own plates, flatware, and anything you'll need to serve. The Saturday Wine Picnic is a shared space, so we ask groups to celebrate in a way that lets every guest enjoy their afternoon too.
Good to know:
21 and over. All guests must be 21+, and a valid ID is required for alcohol service.
Reservations. Advance tickets are not required for walk-up flights. Picnic Passes, Mini Picnic Baskets, and the Garden Cottage must be reserved in advance, and space is limited.

Bringing your own picnic. Outside food is welcome with a Picnic Pass, on the lawn and at outdoor tables only. To keep the wine room and tent a space for tasting, outside food stays outside. Snacks are also available for purchase.
Wine from our wine room. Outside alcohol and beverages aren't permitted.
Leave it as beautiful as you found it. Caring for this land is at the heart of what we do. Please gather all trash and leftover food before you go. You'll find disposal stations nearby.
Keep it simple. Please leave glassware, grills, candles, and open flames at home.
Let the vineyard be your soundtrack. No speakers or outside music is allowed.
Smoke-free grounds. No smoking or vaping of any kind anywhere on the property.
Come and go. Seating is casual between 12 and 4. We ask that picnic lawn spots not be used for more than 90 minutes so more guests can share the afternoon.
Self-guided. There's no formal tour or wine guide, just you, your people, and the wine.
Pets (including emotional support animals) are not allowed under any circumstance at the Vineyard.

On a clear day, we're outside under the sky. If it rains, we move under the tent. Since outside food stays outdoors, bring-your-own picnics pause in the rain, but your wine is still waiting for you under the tent.

This isn't something we run every week. When we have a window open, we'll put a date on the calendar and that's your invitation to come. The walk itself is our gift to you, it doesn't cost anything to spend time with us and hear the story of this place. The fee covers your glass of wine and the rest helps support the vineyard you're walking through.

Our final Farm Girl Market of the season has a new date. We've moved it from October 4th to Sunday, November 1st, due to rain, so we can give the season the send-off it deserves, and we're making it bigger and better than ever.
November at the Vineyard is picture perfect. The vines turn gold, the trees are at their peak of autumn color, and the air is just crisp enough for a cozy layer. Stroll through our local vendors, sip on wine cocktails and whiskey cocktails, and soak in the most beautiful fall scene of the year.

Come celebrate the season with us. This is one you'll want to remember.
Picture it: fresh flowers in one hand, something wrapped in kraft paper in the other, live music drifting across the lawn. You stop by the VIP Garden Bar for a specialty cocktail made just for the day. You wander toward the vines for a guided tour - a rare look at the vineyard most Market-day guests never see. You leave with a little bag of fresh muscadines to take home. And you get to do all of it from the best seat in the house, right in front of the music.

Coming as a Group?
We love seeing groups at Farm Girl Market! As one of our busiest events of the year, please note we're unable to reserve tables for groups even in VIP.
VIP ticket holders enjoy a reserved seating area. Seating there is family-style, eight guests per table, and first come, first served, so you may share your table with other guests. Because of the crowds, we can't guarantee seating or seat groups together, but part of the fun is the new friends you'll meet along the way.

We're so glad you chose to celebrate with us! To support our vendors and keep things running smoothly on such a full day, outside food, drinks, and celebration cakes are not permitted at Farm Girl Market.
You won't go hungry, though. Our vendors bring a wonderful spread of food and desserts, so come ready to taste, shop, and treat yourself.

On select Fridays, when we're not hosting private events, we set out a few small tables under the Garden Tent Pavilion. Just wine. Just quiet. White linen. Candlelight. A table made for slowing down: a solo date, an evening with your plus one, or a few friends who need a couple of hours to exhale. This is wine to unwind. A gentle pause between the week behind you and the weekend ahead.
Your Reservation
This is a reservation-only experience for tables of 1 to 4 guests.
Reservations are 2 hours, with start times between 4 PM and 7 PM. We close at 9 PM.
Reserve ahead, or book same day as tables allow.
Offered on select Fridays only, when we're not hosting private events.
Your Reservation fee
Your reservation fee of $50 holds your table (for 1-4 guests) and becomes a credit toward your table's bill that evening for any wine purchases (wine by the glass, bottle and/or pairing experience).
Each table has a $50 minimum spend. That's per table, not per person, so your reservation fee covers the minimum spend.
We're unable to split checks, thus any balance after your credit is applied will need to be settled as one bill per table.
The reservation fee is non-refundable and non-transferable even in the event of a no-show or cancellation.
The Wine Menu
Our menu rotates with the seasons and features white, red, and muscadine wines, from dry to semi-sweet to sweet, hand-selected by our wine team for the evening.
You will be able to order a glass, share a bottle, or select our premium wine pairing experience, all poured table side by our wine expert for the night.

By the Glass: $15 to $20, depending on variety and vintage
By the Bottle: $45 to $85, depending on variety and vintage
Wine Pairing Experience: $85 per person for three wines, each with its own mini-pairing (limited availability)

Friday Night Wine Room reservations are designed for small, intimate gatherings, and we keep each table separate to protect that feeling for everyone. Tables can't be combined, but we'll do our best to seat your group nearby if we have the ability, and you're welcome to mingle across the vineyard lawns throughout the evening.
Celebrating Something?
We love being part of your special moments. Guests are welcome to bring a celebratory cake or dessert to enjoy. Please keep in mind that Friday Night Wine Room Reservations are a shared experience, not a private event. There's plenty of room for toasts and celebration. We just ask that you celebrate in a way is respectful to others and that lets every table enjoy their evening too.
The Vineyard
Your reservation includes time to enjoy the vineyard lawns. It's unhurried, personal, and unlike anything you'll find at a traditional winery.
Good to know
All reservation fees are non-refundable and non-transferable.
Table reservations must be made in advance. Reservations cannot be granted on the same day of service.
Outside food is not permitted.
All guests must be 21+.
Norwood Vineyard is in Jonesboro, Georgia, about 25 minutes south of Downtown Atlanta and 15 minutes south of the Atlanta airport.
Pets (including emotional support animals) are not allowed under any circumstance at the Vineyard.
Weather/Acts of Nature Cancellation Policy:
This is a rain-or-shine event. In the rare case of an event being postponed or rescheduled due to weather or other acts of nature beyond our control, we will reschedule the event and all tickets will be honored for the rescheduled future event date. No monetary refunds will be issued. If a guest is unable to attend the rescheduled event, we will issue a credit for the original purchase amount, for the guest to use toward another Norwood Vineyard ticketed event of their choice.
Your Digital Ticket
Your digital ticket will arrive by email through Eventbrite before your reservation. If it hasn't arrived at least 24 hours before, email us at hello@norwoodvineyard.com and we'll take care of you.

The Little Details to Know Before Your Visit
Wine Selections & Varieties
We offer small-batch, handcrafted wines made from local wine-makers. The varieties we are offering this season are muscadine wines from Robert’s Vineyard which range from semi-sweet to sweet.
Select wines offered during tastings may be available for purchase (while supplies last), however due to the high-demand nature of the wines we carry, there may be a waitlist for select wines.
Days & Hours for Tastings
We open our Wine Room on select each month to host ticketed wine tasting experiences. Due to the number of weddings and private events that we host each month, we do not have daily standing hours for drop-ins.
Most of our wine tasting experiences require tickets in advance (such as Friday Night), however select events you can purchase flights upon arrival (such as Saturday Wine Garden).
Food Options
It’s important to note that we are a working vineyard and not a winery restaurant. Because of this, our food selections are limited based on the tasting experience, however we have compiled a full list of nearby restaurants that we can recommend for full-service dining before or after your wine tasting experience.
While we don’t allow outside food or drinks, you are welcome to bring a small celebratory cake or dessert if you’re celebrating a special occasion.
Celebrations
We love celebrations at the vineyard! If you are joining a ticketed wine tasting experience and would like to request your group to sit together, please contact us a day in advance.
Please note: All ticketed experiences are usually first-come, first serve, family-style seating (tables seat up to 8 guests), thus while we will make every effort at times we may not be able to accommodate a private table for your group.
Group Tasting Reservations
We offer Group Wine Tastings Reservations for those that are seeking to visit the vineyard on a date outside of our ticketed tasting experiences. Please Click here for rates and to inquire about availability.
*Please note: Weekend availability for Group Wine Tasting Reservations may be extremely limited due to the number of weddings and private events that we host. We recommend inquiring about a date at least 30 days in advance.
Vineyard Tours
We offer Vineyard Tours with select experiences (such as Sunday Pour & Tour), however the tour requires an advance ticket.
Vineyard Tours may also be arranged complimentary during a Group Wine Tasting Reservation (weather permitting) with advance notice.
