ASSUMPTION OF RISK & RELEASE OF LIABILITY
Norwood Vineyard & Gardens ("Venue") and any event operator holding an event at the Venue (collectively, "Operators") are not responsible for injury, loss, or damage arising from your voluntary attendance at any event, market, tasting, or gathering held on the property.
By entering the property, you acknowledge and agree that:
Outdoor & Agricultural Property. The Venue is a working vineyard and outdoor event space with natural and man-made hazards including but not limited to uneven terrain, gravel, exposed roots, insects, weather conditions, farm equipment, and outdoor furniture and structures not rated for all uses.
Assumption of Risk. You voluntarily assume all risks of injury, illness, property damage, or loss associated with attending any event, whether arising from the condition of the property, the conduct of other guests, vendors, or independent contractors, or your own conduct.
Vehicles & Parking. You are solely responsible for your vehicle and its operation at all times. No Operator, employee, volunteer, or contractor is authorized to enter, move, or operate your vehicle under any circumstance, and any request you make of venue personnel to do so is at your sole risk. Vehicles parked on-site, on adjacent private property, or on public streets are parked at the owner's own risk; the Venue is not responsible for towing, theft, vandalism, or damage of any kind.
Alcohol. If you consume alcohol at any tasting or event, you agree not to drive if impaired and to arrange alternate transportation. The Venue and its Operators reserve the right to refuse service to any guest.
Release. To the fullest extent permitted by law, you release Norwood Vineyard & Gardens, its owners, employees, volunteers, and independent contractors, and the operator of any specific event, from all claims, liability, and damages arising from your attendance, except for claims arising from gross negligence or willful misconduct.
Medical Emergencies. In the event of injury or medical emergency, Venue staff may contact emergency services on your behalf, at your expense, but are not obligated to provide medical treatment beyond basic first aid.
Pedestrian Travel & Off-Site Parking. If you park across the street, on adjacent private property, on public streets, or in any location not designated by the Venue, you do so at your own risk, and you assume all risk associated with crossing streets, intersections, or traveling on foot to and from the property, including risks arising from your own failure to use crosswalks or comply with traffic laws. The Venue strongly encourages use of designated on-site parking and marked pedestrian routes only.
Shuttle Services. If you use any shuttle service arranged in connection with an event (whether operated by the Venue or a third-party shuttle company), you do so at your own risk. The shuttle operator is an independent contractor, not an employee or agent of the Venue, and you agree to hold the Venue harmless for any injury, loss, or damage arising from your use of shuttle transportation.
Vendors. Any vendor engaged by you, by another guest, by an event host, or by the Venue (including preferred/recommended vendors) is an independent contractor. You agree to hold the Venue, its owners, staff, and other Operators harmless for any illness, injury, allergic reaction, foodborne illness, property damage, or other harm arising from the goods or services of any vendor, whether at a private event, ticketed public event, or otherwise.
Alcohol Consumption. If you consume alcohol at any tasting, market, or event, you do so voluntarily and assume all associated risks, including but not limited to impairment, injury from falls, illness from over-consumption, and risks associated with driving or walking while impaired. You agree to hold the Venue, its owners, staff, contractors, and vendors harmless for any injury to yourself or others, and for any illness (including alleged food or wine-related illness) connected to your attendance.
Conduct of Other Guests. The Venue is not responsible for the acts or omissions of other guests, and you assume the risk of injury or loss caused by the conduct of other attendees.
Tickets Purchased for Others / Transferred Tickets. If you purchase a ticket on behalf of, or transfer a ticket to, another individual, you agree to inform that individual of these terms before they attend, and you remain responsible for ensuring their awareness of this policy. Attendance at the property by any individual, regardless of whose name a ticket was purchased under, constitutes that individual's independent acceptance of these terms, as also confirmed by posted signage and check-in procedures at entry.
Private Events (Weddings, Showers, Private Parties). If you are attending a private event hosted by a third-party client of the Venue (e.g., a wedding), your attendance is additionally subject to these terms as a condition of entry onto the property, regardless of your relationship to the event host. Event hosts booking private events are separately required to carry event liability insurance and to notify their guests of these venue policies as a condition of their rental agreement.

TICKET POLICY
By purchasing a ticket you agree to the following:
All ticket sales are final. Tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable to a different event.
Refunds/reschedules are not provided to late arrivals and/or no-shows. Late arrivals join the group in progress for all scheduled events and due to the schedule of our program earlier pours cannot be repeated.
Valid ID required for alcohol service.
Transfers to another attendee for the same event: At our discretion, a ticket may be transferred to another individual for the same event. Requests must be submitted to hello@norwoodvineyard.com at least 24 hours before the event. The original purchaser remains responsible for ensuring the new attendee is informed of and agrees to our Assumption of Risk & Release of Liability terms as listed above.
Weather & Rain Checks: Norwood Vineyard & Gardens reserves the right, but is not obligated, to offer a rain check, credit toward a future event, or reschedule date in the event of inclement weather or venue closure. Whether a rain check is offered, and its terms, are at our sole discretion. Events are held rain or shine unless we announce a cancellation or postponement, in which case affected ticket holders will be notified at the email address used for purchase.
Venue-Initiated Cancellation: If Norwood Vineyard & Gardens cancels an event for reasons other than weather (e.g., emergency, permitting issue), ticket holders will receive a refund or credit at our discretion within 60 days.
