Wine Tasting Experiences
Wine Tasting at the Vineyard
Our Wine Tasting Series is our way of keeping record of good wine, great wine makers across the south, the love poured into the craft, and the culture that often goes unseen.
A few times a month, we open the vineyard for wine tasting and highlight one of our favorite wine makers.
Summer Wine Tasting & Tour
Join us every Sunday at Norwood Vineyard in Jonesboro,GA for an afternoon rooted in history, family, and the slow pleasure of a good pour. Just 25 minutes south of Atlanta, our weekly Sunday experience is designed for those who want more than a glass of wine — they want the story behind it.
What to Expect
Your Sunday begins with a guided 20-minute walking tour of Norwood Vineyard, led by one of family members or staff. You’ll hear the history of this land, learn about the muscadine vines, and walk the rows that have been tended by our family for 75 years. It is unhurried, personal, and unlike anything you’ll find at a traditional winery.
Following the tour, guests are invited to settle in and enjoy a self-guided tasting of three pours from our curated wine selection. Each flight features muscadine varietal wines procured from Roberts Vineyard or a specially selected offering - all wines rooted in Southern tradition and Georgia soil.
Please note this is not a guided wine tasting. It is a small group tour, a flight pour, and an afternoon worth remembering.

Date: Friday, June 12th 2026
Time: 7-8:30 PM
Location: 2441 Highway 138 SE, Jonesboro, GA 30236
Some Friday evenings are worth the drive.
Norwood Vineyard is a family-owned working vineyard tucked into Jonesboro, Georgia about 25 minutes south of Downtown Atlanta. We’ve been tending this land for generations, and a once a month we open our doors and invite people in to slow down, pull up a chair, and share something worth tasting.
Legacy Tasting is our guided wine tasting series and it’s a little different from what you might expect. Every second Friday of the month, we gather a small group of guests under our Garden Tent in the vineyard for a tasting of three Southern wines. Small-batch. Thoughtfully chosen. Each one tied to a maker whose story is worth knowing. We travel the region through every pour, from Georgia to the Carolinas to Virginia and beyond, introducing you to the winemakers doing something real in Southern wine country.
This is not a tasting for the wine expert. There’s no sommelier, no pressure, no wrong answers. It’s a Friday evening in a southern vineyard with long family-style tables, light bites, good conversation, and wine that might just surprise you. Sweet, bold, fruit-forward. Every month is different, and that’s the point.
We keep it intentionally small. Never more than 40 guests. Whether you’re coming solo, with a partner, with friends, or making it a group night out you’ll feel right at home from the moment you arrive.
What’s included:
A guided tasting of 3 featured Southern wines focused on muscadine varietals, complimentary light bites, and an evening on the vineyard you’ll want to repeat.

A Fourth of July Celebration at Norwood Vineyard
Date: Saturday, July 4th 2026
Time: 1 PM - 6 PM
Location: 2441 Highway 138 SE, Jonesboro, GA 30236
This Fourth of July, come celebrate with the people who helped build this country.
We’re spending our holiday the Norwood way — good wine, good food, good music, and good company on 75 years of family land just south of Atlanta. This is our version of the Fourth. Rooted in pride, steeped in history, and poured with love.
Our grandfather served this country in the United States Army. This land has been in our family for generations. And on July 4th, we’re inviting you to spend the holiday with us — not just to celebrate America, but to celebrate what Black Americans have always contributed to it. The music. The food. The soil. The sacrifice.
Come as you are. Wear your brown, white, and blue. And let’s have a day worth remembering.
What’s Happening
The Blues is On
We’ll be playing blues music all afternoon long — the soundtrack of resilience, joy, and soul.

A barbecue vendor will be set up and serving all afternoon. Food is available for purchase separately and trust us, you’ll want it.
Wine Flights All Afternoon
Pour yourself into the holiday with a 3-flight tasting of our curated muscadine varietal wines and specialty selections from Roberts Vineyard. This is Southern wine on Southern land and it does not get more fitting than that.
Cornhole & Good Company
We’ll have cornhole set up, open space, and all the laid back holiday energy you could want. Bring your crew. Make some new friends. Stay a while.

Featured Wine this Season
Featured Winemaker: Dr. Darlene Roberts
Roberts Vineyard · Byron, GA
Our grandfather planted muscadine vines on this land over 75 years ago and they are still growing today. We open our vineyard each year to the community and local winemakers who buy and pick our grapes and craft their own small batch wines from them. But we will be the first to tell you - we are not winemakers. We are something else entirely. We are seekers.
We search high and low, through small towns, back roads, and hidden gems across the South, to find the winemakers who are quietly doing extraordinary work. The ones making small batches by hand, honoring the muscadine grape, and pouring their whole selves into every bottle. Our job is to find them, honor their craft, and make their wine accessible to the Atlanta community that deserves to know them.
This season that winemaker is Dr. Darlene Roberts of Roberts Vineyard in Byron, Georgia. Her muscadine varietals are handcrafted, soulful, and deeply rooted in Southern soil and we could not be more proud to feature her work. Each year we will spotlight someone new. Because the South is full of extraordinary winemakers. And we are just getting started. You’ll find her wines at our tastings, amongst others, and stocked on our shelves.
