Our Story

Norwood Vineyard has been 75 years in the making. But our love for hosting started at Hill House in Atlanta.

Long before we ever thought to open Norwood Vineyard to the community, we opened Hill House. This is where our love of hosting — of inviting people into the spaces we love — actually began.

Hill House was built to be our family's sanctuary. A place for our family to gather right in the heart of Atlanta. And almost as soon as we built it, we started sharing it. Over the past five years alone, we've welcomed more than 300 guests through these doors — weddings, showers, dinners, even the occasional film night. Every kind of gathering you could imagine.

Norwood Vineyard is where that instinct grew into something much bigger. But Hill House is where it all started, and it's still where a lot of the real work happens today. It's a seasonal home we still open to host friends, and also the place our team gathers to taste and debate wine, and where we sketch out what's next for Norwood Vineyard.

Hill House isn't the vineyard. It's the first place where we learned how to host beautifully and dream big.

Now, We're Opening It AgainSaturdays at Norwood Vineyard are almost always spoken for — weddings, mostly, a full house from morning into night. So on select Saturdays, we're opening Hill House instead: an intimate wine tasting and pairing experience led by our Norwood Vineyard wine hosts and our in-house sommelier, held in the very place where our love of hosting first began.

How This Is Different

The Vineyard is where we host the community. Hill House is where we host privately and intimately.

It's also where we test what's next — the wines we're considering, the ideas still taking shape, before any of it reaches the vineyard's list.

At the Vineyard

Open to the public — tours, tastings, and celebrations that welcome everyone into the Norwood story.

At Hill House

Open to a few — a private, intimate evening inside the house where that story first began.

The Experience

Four courses, each paired with wine.

Plates are kept small — two or three bites — so the pairing, not the meal, takes center stage. We'll share the story behind each pour: its notes, and how it might show up at the vineyard in the months ahead. You'll even help us decide what makes it onto the Vineyard Tasting Room list.
