Ceremony + Reception Layout Guide

The Inner Garden
Two rooms inside one tent. On the left, a ceremony — 25 chairs in close rows facing a floral arch at the catering end, intimate and enclosed, lush with greenery. On the right, a reception already waiting — a 22-foot estate table dressed with linens, florals, and candlelight, a garden arch framing the view beyond. A living greenery wall divides the two worlds without closing them off: guests can sense the table, can feel the evening ahead, from the moment they take their ceremony seat. After the recessional, they cross through the greenery wall and sit down. The ceremony chairs become the dance floor. The dinner was always ready. Nothing moves.
Layout Notes
- Two dedicated arches. A floral ceremony arch at the catering end faces the chairs. A garden arch at the scenic end frames the couple's head position at the estate table and the vineyard view beyond. Both are dressed and standing before guests arrive.
- Ceremony zone: catering half. 25 chairs in 5 close rows face the arch — nobody more than 16 feet away. The DJ booth is in the back corner but silent during the ceremony. Bar and buffet are accessible along the front wall for pre-ceremony gathering.
- Reception zone: garden half. The estate table is fully set and visible through the greenery wall from every ceremony seat. Guests see where dinner will happen from the moment they sit down for the ceremony — it builds anticipation through the entire service.
- The transition. After the recessional, guests cross the greenery wall and find their place at the table. The ceremony chairs remain in place. No staff movement is required. The DJ begins, the bar pours, and the dance floor opens in the now-empty ceremony half.
- Greenery wall as architecture. The living wall at the zone boundary is a design element, not a divider. Style it floor-to-ceiling with cascading eucalyptus, ferns, and garden florals so it reads as an entrance to the reception room — guests walk through it, not around it.
